Founder & Education Coordinator
Founder of Elif Başkut Education with many years of experience in early childhood education and a child-centered philosophy. Trained in Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and bilingual approaches; host of the 'Anne Baba Kafası' podcast.
Beyond running the school, Elif Başkut is with the children and teachers every day; she holds parent meetings personally and follows each child’s development closely.
Each one trained in their own field; a team that sits at the same table as the children and takes their curiosity seriously.
Child Development Specialist
Working from the idea that every child moves at their own pace, she carries out developmental observation and builds individual support plans together with the class teachers. In atelier sessions she treats hands-on making — the kind that asks for dexterity, attention and patience — as a space that nurtures development; beyond the finished piece, what matters to her is the confidence a child gains while trying.
English Teacher
A friendly and enthusiastic English instructor who believes that learning English should be exciting, practical and fun. With three years of teaching experience, he uses simple explanations, real-life examples and engaging activities to make lessons easy for students to understand and enjoy. He is passionate about helping young learners build confidence, express themselves and discover the joy of communicating in English.
Class Teacher
She spends most of the day with her own group, shaping the child’s day together with them from the morning welcome through playtime, the atelier and the story that closes the day. In small groups she makes a point of knowing every child individually, following their curiosity and keeping learning inside play.
French Language Instructor
Born in Paris in 1983, she lived in France until the age of 27. After completing her degree in business administration she worked in both France and Türkiye. She has lived in İzmir for 15 years and has spent the last 5 years teaching language at preschool level. She is a mother of two.
Chess Instructor
A graduate of Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, she is a chess instructor and chess referee who works with children. She treats chess as a creative field that builds attention, patience, reasoning, decision-making and problem-solving. By bringing the Waldorf approach together with chess, she supports children’s creative thinking. For her, chess is a joyful way of learning how to think.
