First Day of School: A Practical Guide for Parents

First Steps

Starting a new school is as challenging as it is exciting for a child. In this article, we offer parents tips that ease the adaptation process.

Talking in Advance

A few days before school starts, talk with your child about school, say they will be going there, look at photos together. This shapes the expectation with positive curiosity.

The Importance of Farewell

In the first weeks, farewell moments should be short, clear, and consistent. Clear sentences like "Mom will pick you up in the evening" provide security.

A Transition Object

A toy, a small cloth, or something familiar from home becomes the child's safe space in the first days.

Be Patient

Adaptation happens at a different pace for each child. Stay in touch with us, let's move forward together.
